Andy Downing previews a tribute at the third 2x2 Hip-Hop Festival (Rice Paddy Motorcycles, July 22, 2017) to Columbus rapper and educator Nes Wordz, born Sheron Colbert, who died in late June; his 13-year-old son Daylon Colbert ("Young Nes") was to perform "Get It Gone" and "Holy Ghost" with SupaNatra DJing. The piece recalls Nes's final performance at ComFest in June and a memorial benefit at Avalon on July 5.
